The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy?s major research program on Water Sustainability and the Future of Canada?s Natural Resource Sectors is gathering momentum.

Following a series of multi-stakeholder consultation workshops hosted last fall with our partners in the natural resource sectors, we have prepared short collaborative summaries of the key issues and analyses flowing from those meetings for you to read. These will form part of the NRTEE?s first report, to be released in June, 2010 setting out a comprehensive assessment of the challenges and opportunities on how the forest, agriculture, energy and mining sectors use water, and how we can ensure it remains a sustainable resource for Canadians and supports the continued economic prosperity of these important industries.
