Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Sustainable Tourism

National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE)

The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) joined with the NRTEE and the provincial round tables of Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan to initiate a dialogue on "sustainable tourism". The dialogue resulted in a "code of ethics for tourists", a "code of ethics for the industry", and a set of "recommended guidelines" for the industry in total and certain key sectors.
